The Human Body.

"There is more wisdom in your body than in your deepest philosophy." - Friedrich Nietzsche

Our body, composed of trillions of atoms - all to work in a sincere harmony.

How does it work?

To dwell on the subject of how it does work would take quite a while, i'd end up with a 'Biology Bible' or something of the sort.

Its the fact that our body does generally work in complete and utter harmony that never ceases to amaze me, homeostasis - keeping us at the right temperature no matter what, or at least trying to. Its these traits that make the human race such a dominating and distinctive kind.

We are unmatched.

Having a posable thumb may not sound to 'dandy' to you but believe me it is. It helps us daily, gripping, climbing and other things of that nature. Other animals don't have posable thumbs and this severely limits them to a confined life.

But back onto the body.

Our body works in amazing ways, only taking the good stuff out of food(generally), having optimum conditions in our lungs - the body is built in such a way that it doesn't have many flaws. But the ones it does have can be exploited and can severely limit us.

We can talk; communicate - but we can do it differently. You may see this as a good thing but, is it? It causes so much heart ache and pain that I want to know, is it a necessity? Do we need the ability to speak? Or is it just something we take for granted? Also, our strength is limited, look a monkey - they have supreme strength compared to us, they can scale unmatchable heights. Me? Im confined to me room playing video games, that'll get me far.

We have an amazing brain capacity, some animals can only learn to count to 10-20, we can count millions. People have even remembered Pi up to 2000+ digits, I only know the basic 3.1415926535 - not far to go then, aye?

One bad thing about the human race is that we need motivation to do things, the key part to success in our life - and everyone lacks it. When we don't need it, its there and when we do, its not. Coincidental really. Unlike animals who instinctively do thing when they need, unlike us - we can barely walk to the shops, never mind walk/run miles to catch a deer.

To conclude, do you think our ability to talk is a pro, or a con? Is our brain capacity a good thing? And finally, is our lack of instinct a major flaw in our capabilities? Make your own assumptions; comment if you may.

Thanks for reading, Ben.
