2012, and what I think.

"I'm not going to take this defeatist attitude and listen to all this crap any more from all these people who have nothing except doomsday to predict." - Carroll Shelby

So then, 2012 is approaching us.

What do you think is going to happen?
Anything at all?
There is a few logical theories, some could actually happen, whereas some would never happen.

Most of the theories are actually very logical; even the Planet X or Nibiru theory. Which states there is an unknown plant in our Solar System which could cause an upset on our planet. You're probably thinking "Thats stupid!" Well, it actually isn't too bad. There is evidence that Planet X is still there, there is a slight gravitational force that keeps on keeps perturbing the two giant planets, Uranus and Neptune. This force suggests a large object may be present, using its gravity to cause an upset. This may be the long- sought Planet X. Planet X isn't a new theory, is is probably one of the oldest. Planet X (Nibiru) originated back in the time of the Sumerians, Nibiru was a planet the race called the Annunaki descended from. The Sumerians exist in the time between 4500 and 4001 BC from what I can find, so it's very old. The Annunaki play a role in the Ancient Astronaut theory, which I am a big believer of too, so I may be bias. An argument against Nibiru though is that if it did exist, we could see it - being a massive object. Which is plausible, very plausible.

Now for theory another which could happen; Yellowstone. Possibly the most realistic theory and accepted theory. The Yellowstone Supervolcano which has an eruption cycle of about 600,000 years, it is overdue for an eruption too, if it erupts it would wipe out at least 2/3rds of the US. Scared? There is evidence proving this too, the floor of the caldera in Yellowstone Park has been rising for a while. Pointing toward an eruption.

The final plausible theory I'm going to talk about is the Galactic Superwave Theory."T
he last galactic superwave occurred 13,000 years ago, ending the ice age and causing worldwide extinctions which nearly wiped out the human race." Since we are moving into nearer to the Galactic Centre in 2012 we are becoming of higher risk for galactic superwaves. A Galactic superwaves is an apparent explosion(s) that is sent out from the center of our galaxy every 13,000 years, give or take a few hundred years. These waves are generally accompanied by electromagnetic pulse waves. They give out a lot of dust, which could actually increase the activity of our Sun.  They could also in theory;
 destroy our ozone layer which would leave us vulnerable to ultraviolet radiation from the Sun. The Sun reaches its maximum in 2012 too, which means increased activity.

To conclude, some theories may sound stupid, but when analysed properly they can make sense, don't judge things as soon as you see them. This should apply to life too. As for my view on 2012, i'm not worried, throw everything you've got at me. Once the date comes, I will be nervous but I will try to stay confident, i'm too open minded to these things, so I will most likely end up believing one by them. A theory of mine is that there could be mass suicides, due to stress of 2012, this could wipe out a significant amount of the population.

Thanks for reading, Ben.
